Hospitality interiors
Boutique hotel interior design with a point of view.
Guest rooms, lobbies, lounges, and common spaces for boutique hotels and small resorts. Our founder is a Certified Hospitality Designer, and we bring the same turnkey follow-through to every property.

What is hospitality interior design?
Design for the places people stay and gather as guests.
Hospitality interior design is the design of spaces where people stay and gather as guests: hotels, resorts, inns, and the lounges, dining rooms, and lobbies attached to them. Boutique hotel interior design narrows that to smaller, independent properties, where the interiors carry the brand and a clear point of view is the reason guests book.
Solstizio approaches boutique hospitality the way we approach short-term rentals, at a larger scale: a concept for the property, a plan for each room type and common space, furniture and finishes specified for guest use, sourcing through trade partners, and installation coordinated around your opening date. Our founder, Hannah McKernan, is a Certified Hospitality Designer with eight years of short-term rental design experience, including turning large residential estates into amenity-driven vacation properties built to compete with five-star resorts.
Meet the studio
From the lobby to the last guest room.
Scope is shaped around the property. A full design can cover every space, or a proposal can focus on the rooms that matter most to your opening.
- Property concept and guest-experience planning
- Guest room and suite design, by room type
- Lobbies, lounges, dining, and amenity spaces
- Furniture, finish, and lighting specification for guest use
- Sourcing, delivery coordination, and installation
Small hotels, strong identity.
A boutique property competes on character. The interiors have to deliver it in every room, and in quantity.
- 01
A concept guests can describe.
We start with the story of the property and carry it through palette, key pieces, lighting, and the details guests photograph.
- 02
Rooms that work in multiples.
Room types are designed to repeat without feeling repeated, with selections that can be procured and installed in quantity.
- 03
Opening-day ready.
Sourcing, deliveries, and installation are coordinated with your operations team so the property opens finished.
One process, scaled to the property.
Hotel timelines depend on the number of rooms, construction, and procurement lead times. The phases stay the same, and we set the schedule together once we’ve reviewed the property.

A few good questions.
All your questions, answeredDo you design boutique hotels, or only short-term rentals?
Both. Turnkey short-term rental design is our specialty, and boutique hospitality is a core part of the studio: hotels, small resorts, inns, and multi-unit vacation properties. Hannah is a Certified Hospitality Designer, and every project has a lead designer.
What does a hospitality interior designer do?
A hospitality interior designer plans guest rooms and common spaces so they work for guests and operations at the same time: the concept, layouts, furniture and finish specifications, lighting, and the coordination of sourcing and installation around an opening date.
Can a project start with a single room type?
Scope is defined in your proposal, and a phased approach is something we can discuss. Tell us about the property, your opening timeline, and the spaces that matter most, and we’ll suggest a sensible starting point.
Do you work on hotels outside Arizona?
Yes. Solstizio is based in Scottsdale and works with owners across the United States. Tell us where the property is and we’ll discuss site visits and installation once we’ve reviewed your inquiry.
How do I start a hospitality design project?
Fill out the intake form with the property location, the number of rooms, photos or plans if you have them, your target opening date, and a working budget range. We reply within 12 hours with next steps, then prepare a proposal.
You have the property.
Let’s find its potential.
Tell us what you’re working on. We’ll take it from there.
